The Systems of cooling and heating

Many people around us do many different things to stay cool in hot season and to stay hot in winter season. But sometime we take it for granted just ignoring how much of money and energy is wasted on this.
When our house is cold in winter and hot in summer, your reaction would be calling for a professional service, but there is an alternative for this. You can cut service cost drastically and keep you heating and cooling system working fine and efficiently by doing just maintence work by yourself. Bu for that you must know some basics of it.
But before that we have to know how heating and cooling system works,
All the climate-control devices have three basic components: a source of warmed or cool air, a means of distributing the air to the room weather its cool or heat, and lastly a CONTROL, which regulates the system. The source of warm air, such as furnace, and cool air, such as air conditioner, often uses the same controlling and distribution system. If your house has central air conditioning, probably cool air would blow around. And if sometimes, heating or cooling system malfunctions then the above 3 system may be creating problem.
Both the heat and cooling system work on the principle that the heat always moves from warm object to a cooler one. Furnaces and heater put heat into air to make your room feel warm, and air conditioner help in making your cooler.
All heating and cooling unit burn fuel. Air conditioner use electricity. Most of the home heating system use gas or fuel oil. The heat pump – an electrically powered climate control unit, both heats and also cools the room. In winter it works like, it pulls heat from the air outside and uses this heat to warm the air in your room.
When the furnace is turned on, it consumes the fuel that powers it, weather it is gas, oil or electricity. As the heat is burned, the heat is produced and channeled to the living areas of your room, through ducts, wires, or pipe, then it is blown out of registers, radiators, or heating panels. Older systems use the heat they produce to heat the water, which in turn heats the air in your room. These systems use a boiler to  store and heat the water supply, which is circulated as hot water  through pipes embedded in the wall, floor or ceiling.
When an air conditioner is turned on, electrical power is used to cool a gas in a coil to its liquid state. Warm air in your home is cooled down when it contracts with the coiling coil, and then this cooled air is channeled to rooms of you home through ducts and various systems. Once air is cooled to heat or cold source then it is distributed to various places of your room.
